Area 5 (Ridgely's Delight) Converting Now to Virtual Permit Parking

It's time to renew your Ridgely's Delight (Area 5) parking permits!

Residents who qualify can apply online at The Permit Store to renew, have a permit mailed to them, or print it at home. 

Area 5 will be the first residential parking permit (RPP) area in Baltimore to convert to virtual permit parking. Like Riverside (Area 48), Baltimore's newest RPP area, no physical decals will be issued. 

You will enter your vehicle information, including your license plate number, and upload your required documentation into the system. Parking Authority team members will then review each application.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION

The same required documents will be required with the new system. Please take a picture of your driver’s license and vehicle registration before visiting the site. It will need to be uploaded to complete your registration.

What you will need to provide for a permit:

1. Any Photo ID
2. Current Vehicle Registration 
3. One form of Proof of Residency, such as:

• Current Lease signed by all parties that is not month-to-month. Month-to-month leases require residents to come to the PABC office each month to renew permits. Month-to-month or automatic renewal leases require additional documentation. Verbal confirmation is unacceptable. Customers showing a lease as proof of residency are still subject to relevant laws limiting the number of permits that may be issued to a residence. Please upload a copy of your lease that clearly identifies all persons residing in the dwelling unit or you may be denied permits.
• Sub-lease agreements that are not signed by the landlord must be accompanied by the original signed lease.
• Proof of home ownership (settlement papers)
• Current driver’s license that reflects your current address
• Utility bill in your name, reflecting current address, that is no less than 30 days old

PAYMENT

Permits are $20 each payable by credit card.

What About Visitor Permits?

Visitor permits will be online, too. Simply enter the license plate number, date, and timeframe when a visitor will be parking in the neighborhood.

Has This Been Done Before?

Riverside, a South Baltimore neighborhood, was approved for residential permit parking in 2019. Residents in this neighborhood launched with the virtual permits rather than start with decals and transition to virtual permit parking later.

Can I Get My Permits When the Office is Closed?

Yes. Residents will be able to renew their permits when the office is closed—on the weekends, in the evenings, on a holiday, or even during a snowstorm.
